Favourites from August

How is it September already? It feels like the last 12 months have absolutely flown by. This time last year I was filled with excitement at getting married and going on honeymoon (although I was most excited about 2 full weeks off work without an alarm.. ahh bliss!).

Here are some of my favourites from August.

A trip to The Belfry

My husband and I took a trip to The Belfry for 2 nights, and it was absolute luxury. I managed to get a deal on Secret Escapes, that included 2 nights in a superior room, dinner on your first night and breakfast.

The place had a really luxurious feel about it, and had a lot to offer including a leisure club, spa, sports bar, cocktail lounge and nightclub. The cocktail lounge, The Brabazon Bar was our favourite location, and the cocktails really were amazing, Definitely on the pricey side, but worth it.

On the Saturday I had two spa treatments (back to back, so I fully relaxed for 2 hours. I’m not sure life can get much better!), a relaxation massage and a facial.

It was such a lovely weekend, I’m considering booking a trip for our 1st wedding anniversary this year.

Pixi x Caroline Hirons – Double Cleanse

This stuff is amazing. I have been using it for about 3 months now, and can really notice the difference in my skin, it is alot clearer and I get less breakouts. I tend to use this is the evenings, as it is great for removing my make-up.

The first step is a solid cleaning oil, followed by a cleansing cream. After application, my skin looks clean, feels soft and is ready for the next stage of my nightly skincare routine.

One Tree Hill

I’m fairly certain that if it wasn’t for One Tree Hill, I would have done so much better at University. Whenever I had any spare time, I was binge watching my box sets of this show and could watch it over and over again. The show ended back in 2012, and since watching the last season as it aired, I hadn’t seen a single episode.

I purchased the complete box set at the beginning of August, and am fully hooked again!

Oyédo Candle by Diptyque

I got this on a recent trip to Selfridges in Manchester after enjoing the Baies candle by Diptyque, I wanted to try something else from them.

I smelt most of the range, but the Oyédo was actually burning in the display area, and I love the citrus scrent it was giving off.

Looking forward to trying more from the range, and am thinking about investing in one of their perfumes.
